Timothy James Crawley (Born Dec, 1976, High Wycombe) is the bassist for Crosscut Saw. His bass-type influences include, among others; Geezer Butler, Aston "Family Man" Barratt and John Entwistle. He enjoys music by everyone from Beethoven to Bonnie "Prince" Billy; from Wu-Tang to Scott Walker.

He lives alone. He enjoys a decent bottle of wine. He idolises Columbo. He used to be able to play the entirety of The Bluetones' first album on guitar. He had only previous "blues" experience through the medium of drunken Cream and Led Zeppellin covers, but thanks to a chance phone call he has chased, stumbled, tripped, sprinted, grabbed, wrestled, ensnared and finally hauled he bass-role carcass of Crosscut Saw back to his lair in Hyde Park. The first gig happened on April 01 2005 after two jam-type rehearsals. The result: our hero suffered a bout of "Grey Face" and managed to stay afloat.

After founding member Rob Simpson smashed his guitar up on stage, the foursome became a trio, and having played in three piece for six years previously, Tim has once again realised his role as a "stoic, yet floral- but not too floral" bassist. Altogether marvellous.
